Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Welcome to slashgit.com. Your privacy is important to us. This page explains how we handle information on this website.
1. Information We Collect
SlashGit is operated as a free public toolkit. We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it:
- Contact form — name, email, and message content you submit.
- Newsletter — email address (and optional name) after you verify with a one-time code. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Game leaderboards — if you choose to save a score, we store your display name, email (not shown publicly), score, game slug, and a hashed IP for abuse prevention after OTP verification.
- File transfer & URL shortener — files and links you upload or create, retained only for the period shown in the tool (e.g. expiry dates).
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
2. Cookies & local storage
We use browser storage for:
- Theme preference and local high scores (localStorage on your device)
- Session functionality for admin and API features where applicable
- Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregated, anonymous usage statistics
You can clear cookies and localStorage in your browser settings at any time.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google Fonts — typography; Google may log font requests.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymous traffic and feature usage metrics.
4. AI Tools
AI playground widgets on this site use pre-defined response logic that runs in your browser. Inputs are not sent to external LLM APIs and are not stored on our servers unless a specific tool states otherwise.
5. Games & leaderboards
Casual high scores may be stored locally in your browser. Optional leaderboard saves require email verification; only your chosen player name and score appear publicly. You can play without submitting any personal data.
6. Contact
If you have privacy-related questions, contact us at: hello@slashgit.com
7. Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
